Styling is how outfits are fitted and accessorized to flatter the person who is wearing the outfit. Stylists select clothing and accessories that fit the client's silhouette, taste, and budget. It helps shape your unique identity and your own personal look which is important in today's day and age.
Since the pandemic virtual styling has become increasingly popular as people were restricted from meeting in person. This is a new emerging job role that has just recently been getting attention as jobs have been moving from physical to virtual. As covid19 restrictions have lifted people have become content with their virtual jobs and some clients also feel more comfortable not having people touch and adjust them.
Celebrity stylists
Styling usually takes place when big events are about to commence. Celebrities get styled for awards, film premieres, talk shows, and many more. Behind the iconic looks of a celebrity, there is a stylist. Popular events such as the Met Gala, Oscars, and the Grammys is when the stylists really get their recognition as their looks are displayed to the public on red carpets.
Stylists such as:
Kate Young
Rebecca Corbin
Elizabeth Saltzman
Leslie Fremar
Venda Carter
Jill Jacobs
Molly Dickson
Leith Clark
Micaela Erlanger
Have grown immensely because of how their looks have been showcased on celebrities with big names and large fan bases. Rob Zangardi and Samantha Burkhart are the stylists that especially stood out to me as they have styled some of the celebrities that I look up to. Some of Rob Zangardi's clients have been Jennifer Lopez, Jessica Biel, Camila Cabello, Rachel McAdams, Ciara, Hailee Steinfeld, Heidi Klum, and many more. Samantha Burkhart has styled: Billie Eilish, Diplo, Rosalía, Katy Perry, and Christina Aguilera.

Virtual Fitting rooms are fitting rooms where u can have a preview of what the outfit would look like on you before you purchase it. Many people struggle to use fitting rooms in public so this invention is a great substitute especially for people with: insecurities, body dysmorphia, and even transgenders. Virtual fitting rooms could give them a sense of comfort and confidence as they would be alone with no ones judging eyes. Virtual fitting rooms would even be a great thing to include with online shopping . Customers could visualise the garments on their body and see if it suits their aesthetic and figure. This could possible reduce the amount of clothes being sent back and returned to stores.
In Doja Cat and Tyga's music video 'Freaky Deaky' there was a virtual fitting room used to help select Tyga's outfit. It showed how the different options would look on him through a mirror styled screen then is final option he selected appeared on him. Clearly in reality it would not be this simple but hopefully in the future it could be.
